Located in Woodbridge Connecticut, and representing plaintiffs in Connecticut & New York, Axelrod & Associates, LLP have a proven track record and over 30 years of experience.

Axelrod & Associates was formed by Attorney Eugene N. Axelrod in November of 1997. Attorney Axelrod recognized a need to provide a sophisticated legal and litigation background to level the playing field on behalf of the employee and the firm began by confining itself to handling employment discrimination cases. The firm soon recognized that employees required further specialization in other areas of law and expanded its practice to included Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, Civil Rights Representation, Elderly Neglect/Abuse and General Litigation.

The firm has since expanded further to protect your rights. Under the direction of Attorney Eugene N. Axelrod, the firm has recently litigated cases against major corporations, such as Pepperidge Farm, Gartner Group, United Illuminating, United Health Care, Verizon Wireless, Omnicom, Sikorsky, Sprint, Sears Roebuck, Cendant, Oxford Health and Olympus Health, Bristol Meyers, Walmart, and Pfizer.

Eugene N. Axelrod
Attorney Eugene N. Axelrod began his law career in 1977 in New York City, where he practiced with the premier law firm of Phillip, Nizer, Benjamin, Krim and Ballon. Attorney Axelrod has managed litigation on behalf of several multi-national corporations, including Occidental Petroleum, Exxon Shell Oil, and Heldor Industries. He has also practiced with the national employment law firm of Epstein, Becker and Green in both New York and Connecticut. Attorney Axelrod moved to Connecticut in 1984 to become a partner at the New Haven Law firm of Evans and Baldwin. While at Evans and Baldwin, Axelrod created and managed a successful commercial litigation department.

Attorney Axelrod received a B.S. with honors (Political Science) and a J.D. from Hofstra University. While attending Hofstra Law School, he was a published author and member of the Law Review, and was nominated to compete in the prestigious international Fullbright Scholarship Program.

Attorney Axelrod has long been a member of: the Bar Association of Connecticut and New York. Among his honors, Axelrod received the "Leader of Litigation" award from The American Bar Association. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers, New York County Law Association, Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association, The Connecticut Committee on Gender Equity, the American Bar Association Employment Law and Litigation Division.

Attorney Axelrod recently participated in the 2008 Annual National American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law law seminar held in Denver, Colorado.

Attorney Robert Moller
Attorney Moller Received his B.A. in History from Boston College in 2004 and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2008. At the University of Connecticut School of Law he served as the competition editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal. While in law school, he was honored to clerk for Hon. Edward J. Mullarkey of Hartford Superior Court and performed research, motion practice and memoranda of law at several law firms. He has sat for both the Connecticut and New York Bar Examinations.


Attorney Michael Petela
Attorney Michael Petela graduated from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 2002. Following graduation he fought for worker rights with the Service Employee's International Union, organizing nursing home and hospital workers in Hartford, New Haven, and throughout Connecticut. He has several years experience with Connecticut motion practice from working as a paralegal a Hamden, CT law firm. He attained his J.D. degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and received merit-based scholarships for each semester he attended. Attorney Petela has been with Axelrod & Associates since October 2009. He has been actively practicing law since his admission and has successfully negotiated and settled claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, and discrimination based upon age, race, and disability. He is currently admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut, the Federal District of Connecticut, and is a member of the American Bar Association.

Mica Notz
Mica Notz is one of the Firm’s fully skilled and knowledgeable representatives since 1999. Mrs. Notz began her employment with the firm performing as the Firm’s Case Manager overseeing discovery issues on the firms State and Federal litigation cases and as a Paralegal assisting clients in the filing of discrimination complaints with the Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Mrs. Notz is currently the Firm’s Senior Paralegal who is fully familiar with statutory and case law in the fields of workplace employment and labor laws for the Commission on Human Rights & Opportunities, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board and the Workers’ Compensation Commission. Mrs. Notz is skilled in the performance of legal research involving multiple vendor systems including Lexis Nexis, Casemaker, as well as a variety of web based sources. Mrs. Notz received certification in Human Resource Management, Labor Law and Employment Discrimination. Mrs. Notz attended Graceland College from 1988 to 1991 with a concentration in Business Management; the University of New Haven with a concentration in Business Law from 1991 to 1992; and is active in attending all Connecticut Bar Association employment law seminars. Mrs. Notz, in addition to performing as an employment law paralegal, also performs and is an active representative for injured workers at the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
